Vito's Experience & Expertise
Vito brings more than 25 years of experience advising successful families, entrepreneurs, and business owners through important moments of growth, transition, and legacy planning. His work spans estate and tax planning, business succession and exit planning, asset allocation, lending, banking, philanthropy, and the often complex family and partnership dynamics that accompany meaningful wealth.
Throughout his career, Vito has been drawn to places where finance and strategy intersect. As a fiduciary, he is known for helping clients move through complicated decisions with clarity. Peers have described his approach as one that balances the “science of finance” with the “art of consensus building” – a combination that has served him well in both business and civic leadership.
Prior to founding Quarton, Vito was Managing Partner of Solyco Wealth. He previously served as Michigan Market Manager at Key Private Bank, as a wealth management advisor at Fifth Third Bank, and as a commercial banker at NBD Bank/Bank One.
Vito’s commitment to governance and institutional stewardship has been a defining part of his civic life. He served six years on the Board of Directors of the Detroit Athletic Club, including terms as Chairman and the Club’s 106th President. In 2023, he was named Board Room Magazine’s Distinguished Club President, a recognition of his thoughtful leadership, collaborative style, and commitment to strengthening one of Detroit’s landmark institutions.
His board service at the DAC also included leadership of the Club’s Nominating Committee for three consecutive years, a reflection of the trust placed in him by his peers and his ability to help guide sensitive leadership and governance decisions with discretion, fairness, and institutional perspective. He also serves on the Board of Life Remodeled, where he is a member of the Governance and Nominating Committee.
A passionate student of governance, strategy, and change management, Vito believes effective leadership often resembles conducting an orchestra: bringing talented people, distinct perspectives, and strong traditions into alignment so the whole can become greater than the sum of its parts. His board service has reinforced a core belief that the best leaders listen carefully, build trust, set tempo when needed, and help groups make better decisions than any one person could make alone.
Vito earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business and his MBA in Strategy from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He is also a Certified Exit Planning Advisor, CEPA™.
He continues to serve the broader Michigan community through advisory roles with the Multicultural Business Program at Michigan State University. Vito and his wife, Heather, are the proud parents of Luca, Mia, and Nola. Outside of work, he enjoys travel, bourbon, music, bowling, baseball, and great food.
Curtis's Experience & Expertise
Curtis Trimble brings over 25 years of investing experience to the operation. An institutional equity analyst by training, Trimble picked up several “Best on the Street” awards years ago from The Wall Street Journal, as well as a “Best Brokerage Analysts” award from Forbes, for his stock-picking skills.
Curtis started Solyco Wealth, an SEC-registered investment advisory, after spending five years with Ameriprise. While with Ameriprise Trimble covered the Technology, Energy, and Utilities, sectors while also acting as portfolio manager for $4.5 billion allocated to that company’s allocated equity model portfolios.
Prior to moving to Michigan and joining Ameriprise, Curtis wrote equity research on oil and gas and oilfield services stocks for several regional and boutique investment banks, including Natixis, Canaccord, and Seaport Global. His investment opinions and observations were quoted worldwide by leading business and investing media outlets, including Barron’s, NPR, Reuters, Investor’s Business Daily, and The Wall Street Journal.
A graduate of Swarthmore College and Rice University’s Jones Graduate Business School, Trimble and his wife, Alejandra González, reside in Birmingham. An avid reader and exercise fan, Curtis wrote a couple novels and also is the Head Wrestling Coach at Brimingham Seaholm High School.
